If you were faced with the most important test of your life and you had been given an answer paper a week before the exam would you read it?

    Probably.

    I would also keep in mind that the test I'm going to take might be a different test by the time I took it. I'd use the answer sheet as a study aid, but I wouldn't just memorize the answer sheet and blow off actually studying. At best, it MAY give you an idea of what your teacher considers important.

    Any test that you characterize as "the most important test" of your life is well-worth studying for.

    of course i would! i firmly believe that what is really important about tests is actually understanding the material as opposed to simply memorising a bunch of stuff... i would try my best to understand the material using the answers!

    I would love to say "no I wouldn't read it", but I would be lying. If I had the answers the week before the test of course I would read them.

    Yes I would. If it were a really important test like passing college I would look at it. Of course, I'd be cheating myself, but I'd promise myself after the test was done to study it for a review.

    Yes, it is the means to and end. If it is for college or grad school you will most likely make more money over your life time. And the topic of the test is somthing you can just look up or find out more about later.
