If the pledge of allegiance is said to pledge your allegiance to the United States, and be loyal to your country, why isn't it said anymore? Don't say it's because of God, It's not God's fault.

Not 100% true. If you are performing a task such that your right hand is occupied in a manner that a timely salute can only be rendered left-handed, it is acceptable to do so.

I must disagree, if performing a task which occupies the right hand and prevents it from being rendered for the salute a verbal greeting should be sounded. No salute should be rendered via the left hand at any given time unless situation above (BuckeyeSandy's comment) is the case. USMC
