Man on 3rd, ball hit to outfield, man on third attempts to advance to home, outfielder throws ball home but ball hits runner. Is the runner out?

Situation: Less than 2 out. First base open. 3rd strike not handled by catcher. Ball caroms off catchers equipment into fair territory. Batter heading for 1st makes contact with the ball in fair territory. Batter was called out. Is this the correct call?

In Little Baseball play, when the pitch is thrown, and the ball hits the batters hand is the hand considered a part of the bat and a strike is given or is the batter given the base?

You're reading If a batter swings at a pitch and misses and is hit by the ball, is it a strike, or is considered being hit by a pitch? Example: Batter leans over the plate to bunt, misses and is hit by the ball.
