If a cheap, environmentally friendly alternative fuel became widely available, would you take the necessary steps to alter your vehicle or purchase one compatible with that fuel to take advantage of it?

Yep, but whats the betting once the goverment found out everyone was using it they would tax it like everything else and make it pointless ?

Yes, I would. I am seriously considering a new hybrid vehicle, just as soon as I can work out the finances. It is still absolutely ridiculous that Exxon/Mobil makes over $40 billion profit, (for the year 2006, I believe), yet gasoline prices keep skyrocketing. I'm sure the rest of them screwed us as well. I think what consumers of gasoline should do is to unite. For example, say this month, (June), no one will buy any Exxon gas, then, in (July), no one will buy Texaco gas, then, in (August), no one will buy BP gas, etc. ... I think prices may actually start dropping. Someone needs to come up with something to stop them from gouging us.
