    99.9% of all inline 4-cylinder engines use the same firing order: 1-3-4-2

    Cylinders are numbered from front-to-back on rear-wheel-drive cars.

    On a front wheel drive car, #1 cylinder is the one closest to the accessory drive pulleys and goes up sequentially as you go away from that end.
