    Depends how heavily loaded it was. Maximum takeoff weight is determined by the requirement to be able to continue flying if one engine fails at the worst possible moment. Therefore, when fully loaded, it can only just fly on three engines. Of course, as it burns off fuel, life becomes easier, and it could certainly fly on two engines; ferry flights (without passengers) are allowed with three engines which implies it could still fly on two. Once it had burned off or dumped fuel, I would guess that it could descend under control on a single engine.

    if the 747 loses one engine it is just like flying on 4, on 2 engines the 747 can fly normal with the 2 & 3 engines or 1 &4 engines the plane flies normal, if its engines 1&2 or 3 &4 then there is goin to be a problem, if there is only one engine then the 747 can literally power glide which can slow down its descent.
