the big space log that was going to eat the Enterprise.

What about "Armus" ? he killed Tasha Yar in season one of TNG.

The Hirogen were a fierce race.

Even the Borg feared Species 8472, little is known about them. They are definitely a force to be reckoned with

On TNG there was a race of parasites -- bugs that got into people's brains and controlled them like robots. We never did find out what they were called, or even where they came from -- just that they'd sent a message to someplace outside the galaxy. The series never did resolve who they were or what they wanted. It's frightening because of what they did, and memorable because the writers of the series never did tell us what exactly they were up to. Other than "no good."
-
The Suliban were also fierce.

I liked those cute furry round creatures that kept multiplying and overfilling the ship. Didn't they make little sounds? They were sort of like breeding illegals; light years ahead of illegals out here in California. ;) jk
