You need 3" wide ribbon, which is very hard to find in the color that you need. If you cannot find the ribbon that you need............buy satin fabric. For one prom sash you need approximately 1/2 yard of fabric. Cut 2 strips of fabric each 7" wide. Sew the two strips of fabric together (right sides together) and press. Then sew the length of fabric with 1/2" seam. Pull fabric through to outside and press. You can buy 2" Iron on letters and numbers and put it on the sash. The total sash should be approximately 72" long. The bottom of the sash should be sewn together on an angle. For the prom queen & court the top of the girls sash lays over the right shoulder. I'm in the process of making 6 sashes for my daughters school and the cost for all is approximately $75., which is alot less than ordering online. Good luck. Have a little patience........but you can do it. Regards, Debbie
