The question is highly subjective and the answer will all depend on what you do with your computer. For the outdoors and rough environments Panasonc or Itronix would be your two best choices. If you are into games, Voodoo, Alienware, or Falcon N-W are your best choices. If you are a businessman and travel much then a lightweight semi-rugged laptop with a good runtime is important Lenovo X300 or Dell Latitude will be your best choices. If you are very multimedia centric, the Toshiba or certain HP models would be two very wise choices. If you are an old lady who just likes to read email jokes then the cheapest laptop with a good amount of RAM is the best one for you. There are lots of laptops out there which one is "the best" all depends on who you are.
