well we have only been married a little less than 4 years but I found out what he paid because after we were married I found the receipt and about died because he gave over $7,000.00 which was his Christmas bonus that year....he gave up his Christmas bonus for me!!! ah
$350. (I saw the receipt, my honey's no stealth agent)
It's a natural emerald claddagh he had custom made for my uber-tiny fingers from a jeweller in Ireland. There's not another ring in the world QUITE like it.
And I LOVE it.
I am SO thankful that he knew me well enough to know my disdain for diamonds and all they stand for.
the stunt my ex pulled when he proposed. a silver covered copper ring with a fake pink diamond worth 25 bucks. When my finger started turning green i started looking at its material.
with tax it ended up being just under $29K. Tiffany and Co Jean Schlumberger Engagement Ring. main diamond is 1.25 Karat, Colorless F, VVS2 or VS2 (cant remember), platinum band. still waiting for the valuation to arrive which is the certification for the ring with all its specs.
It came from Birks, so I know that it wasn't cheap! lol
I believe I paid $900 after tax, but I think before hand it was around $799.
I cant remember, but i know it wasnt alot as we didnt have alot of money then.
it was about 1000 i think, that was a long time ago
I've only had one engagement ring in my life, although I no longer have it. I do not know what my ex paid for the ring, but I doubt it was more than $400.00, given that it was the ultra-rare small, cloudy, grey diamond.
My wife and I did not get engagement rings. We got wedding rings, and started wearing them when we officially announced our engagement, so I guess they were engagement/wedding rings. Anyway, to answer your question, about $300 each. Big thick gold bands that match.
I don't know, he paid for it, and I don't wanna know! It's from Tiffany though, and I love it!!
Cost my ex alot, didnt cost me a thing. if anyone wants it..put on the diving gear, it is somewhere in the ohio river, last seen diving off the big mac bridge ;) LOL
About $3,000.00 PESOS...
I bought it with my wife in the Philippines... It cost us abot $60.00 Dollars American....
we paid about 1000 for our 2 wedding bands and the engagement ring... not so much that we'd go broke over it, but a very nice set.
On a side note, it cost me my freedom to come & go as I please cuz now we have kids... but I wouldn't have it any other way! lol
Believe it or not mine was $4.99 LOL!! from Avon, still loking good thou! :D
it was $2500 Aus, from a diamond broker. It was valued just under $5000 Aus though.
I don't know and I really don't care. The piece of Jewelry does not have to be expensive to be special. Its the thought behind it that counts more than gold and a heafty price tag.
I paid $200 for my wife's engagement ring in 1975 and it came with the wedding ring. I made 3 payments - ninety days same as cash. The jeweler had heard me sing in his synagogue and was impressed that the young Baptist preacher boy from the college would be guest cantor for High Holy Days. I didn't know him when I walked in, but he recognized me, greeted me warmly, extended me credit on my signature, and became my very first credit reference.
Thanks for helping me remember this wonderful experience.
About $350 all told. I don't like diamonds... to me, they may as well be glass, or at most cubic zirconium because I sure can't tell the difference. Dumb clear stones, all of 'em. My husband bought a dark blue, absolutely gorgeous sapphire on the internet and had it made into a white-gold setting with tiny diamonds around it, as a nod to tradition. I love it.
It cost about $2,500. Too much because I don't ever where it.
I paid $2000 for my x-wife's engagement ring.
cost $250... has 1k total diamond weight... has 3 bigger black diamonds with 4 small clear diamonds on each side and it's 10k white gold... it's my dream ring... I love it so much!
