Do you think that the beatles would of been as great (if that's even possible knowing that they've achieved so much already and it clearly shows in their catalogue of songs) if pete best continued being the drummer in the band instead of ringo?

No. Pete was basically fired by Paul and John. They chose the drummer that would add the most to the band.

I think they would have.From my memory Pete Best was a better drummer than Ringo.He was a fill in one night and ended up staying.

Ringo was never as good as Pete and I think the band could have done some more great music with him around.

I cannot believe the answers here. Pete Best was a horrible drummer compared to Ringo Starr. Just listen to the recordings, people. Best does the same annoying break each time a spot comes up. He had neither the timing, the power, or the imagination that Starr had.

Paul and John wrote the majority of the songs. They sang the songs. I believe that they would have been a great success with or without Ringo.

Pete was a better drummer but Ringo was a better Beatle.
