  • Well, what I can tell you is that it doesn't exist. At least I've never heard of it. That's not how you drain the coolant. You must locate the RADIATOR drain plug. Get underneath and look for a plug (like on your oil pan) that should be facing the block. This needs to be unscrewed and it will drain the coolant from the engine. Make sure you have a bucket or something to catch all the fluid. Remember that the fluid will shoot out almost horizontally at first, so maybe hold a piece of cardboard like a backboard for the bucket and this will deflect any rogue fluid into the pail. When it's all drained you should flush it, but you need special equipment for this. So, put it all back together and fill it back up with new fluid (ensure the 50/50 water/coolant mix is correct). Hope this helps, Good luck
  • Like above just undo the rad plug and draing it out, next you can run the engine and once the fluid it the engine heats up it will flush it out the the rad and of course this as well will drain out from the rad hole, just remember to keep the cap off and watch down the rad, once the engine spits whats left out, shut the engine down before it blows, doesn't take a rocket scientist
  • there are two plugs, located on the bottom of the block front and rear banks, on opposing sides... a bigger size allen or hex wrench will open them. the block should be drained in addition to the radiator despite these previous two responses, if you want a thorough drain... and you do.
