Help answer this question below.

My cousin is about to graduate college at UT Knoxville. He has no intentions of going to grad school. What are some careers, other than working for stock brokerage, that a bachelor's degree in finance would be most beneficial?

    I have a degree in Engineering and a teaching certificate too. I found these credentials to be rather limited when potential employers were considered. I recommend business degrees to young people who have no burning desire to be a doctor or architect or engineer, because you have more opportunities to find employment in all kinds of business. Finance sounds almost as flexible. If your cousin has an interest in baseball he should contact the his favorite teams or the MLB office. If interested in education contact his favorite schools. Interest in cars, contact manufacturers or even a major dealer like Penske. You just don't know what is available until you interview.

    I have a friend with a bachelor's in Finance who does the budget for the City of San Diego's housing department. City or State government might be a good starting place.
