Sandals yes, flip flops no. I think of myself as attractive when I wear sandals with the right outfit, personally. Socks with any type of open-toe footwear is a huge no no, obviously.

Check out American Eagle, they have comfortable ones that look good.
Abercrombie's are a bit higher end, but don't feel as good.

Only sandals or flip flops will do that if your boy is in shorts. Shoes and socks ... never with shorts.
