Burned...getting eaten would be too nasty. I would start to throw up and then not be able to since my stomach would be gone.

I really can't believe I am going to answer this...and I hope I never have to make this decision for real...but I would have to pick burned at the stake.

I'm afraid I'll have to reject both options at this point in time...My mom was burned over 48% of her body when she was in her 20's in a car accident (rear-ended by a sleeping/driving truck driver...his little pills had ceased to work) Her husband was killed, she actually died twice on the operating table. "They" said she would never walk again...she DID...and married again about 3 years later...and they had ME! Of course, if I get to CHOOSE the animal that eats me...I'll reconsider...but fire is out assuredly...I heard enough of that agony....to assuredly NOT pick THAT ONE. DAMN GOOD poser of a question..points for a horrific choice!

Eaten, atleast it'd be for a reason. Territory/threat. But to be burned at the steak...magic don't exist and to be burned for ignorance seems far worse. ....Imagine all the poor women burned as witches...KNOWING they did nothing wrong...sad.

Both of those sound horrendous. I'll choose the animal, as its nature doing it. If your burned at the stake, there must have been some reason behind it.

I would rather not get eaten alive or burned at the stake but when I have to choose which one sounds the best to me, I would say get eaten alive. Normally those wild animals are very quick at killing and It only hurts at the cuts. Bleeding to death can be fast. The burning alive is horrible. It hurts On the skin, every single nerve in every cell will hurt. This is not good getting severed at hundred places is still less painful than getting burnt at a million places. Most people die when there are no more white blood cells to replace in the burn wounds. I still cannot think that something like that was possible in history and that a good normal thinking person mentions it as an option today.

For those of you who chose the animal over burning. Be aware it was never specified what kind of animal it would be. It could be one single rat or a nice hairy spider that just paralysis you and eats you over the course of eight days, while you experience every second of it...lol

animal, it's actualy a big fear of mine, being burned alive, i wouldn't mind he animal one, at least i know that I'm giving life to another animal, and if I get eaten alive, first im going to fight for my life, thus ruling out the spider, rat,etc. theory

Being the tough old turkey that I am, I would take my chances with the animal. My stinky feet should scare him off.

well i would want to be burned at the stake, after a minute my nerves would be fried and i wouldn't feel anything, then i would die. if i was being eaten by an animal i would feel every moment of it.

Eaten alive. There is a certain sexual "Vore" aspect to it.

This is a real Dilemma, both are seriously bad options. With a bit of look the eaten alive one, would be a large predator, a Crocodile or Great White, at which point it would be over with quickly, and the adrenalin would kick in and take away some of the pain while you died. Alternatively, you may pass out once the heat got going. I think the flames, but only just.
