I use photoshop for a lot of things. Image manipulation, image analysis (I.E. working with colors that mean certain things) as well as other things. I own photoshop CS3 Extended, and use the 3d Features to create some awesome designs that i wire framed in illustrator. Great stuff, i use it all the time!
i use photoshop for just about everything, i make repairs to photos, i turn then black & white, i use A LOT of the hand coloring on them, and i like to create the collages! but pretty much everything! i even resize my photos in photoshop too!
I generally use it to make my computer go a lot slower.
I have stopped using Photoshop(uninstalled entirely)after I have discovered Paint.net.
It works the same way, does practically the same thing, and the program itself doesn't use up most of the space in my hard drive, and it is about $500 cheaper than Photoshop because it's absolutely free. It's good enough for me because I don't really do much intense graphic work.
