I have 2 12" alpine subs type e-swe1242. How big of a amplifier do i need they are 250watts rms and 750 peak?

Generally, you want an amp that can push out more than the RMS and can sometimes go above the peak by a little bit. Do NOT go lower than the RMS however, as a lower wattage amp will not give enough power to be sufficiently loud with that speaker thus encouraging you to max it out; clipping it. And CLIIPING is one of the Major causes of death to speakers in the pro audio world... one can assume for car audio too.

- BTW, forgot, depends also how you connect your speakers. I suggest Bridge tied mono. you can go in series, but it wont be as efficient.
