I go to bed around midnight, but can't fall asleep until around 5AM. I end up sleeping for only a few hours and I feel fine the rest of the day, but when I try to sleep I feel jittery and nauseaus. What could be wrong with me?

What are you doing from midnight to 5 am? bed should only be used for two things,,,,sleep and sex. if you are not encountering either, for five hours, then the bed is off limits. only hit the sheets, when your eyes cross. some people become too comfortable in bed. so, when its time to sleep, they become uncomfortable because they used their bed as a lounge chair.

More than likely you're suffering from lack of sleep. The average person needs 7-8 hours per night. If you're not getting enough sleep, then this can lead to you feeling "jittery" and "nauseous."

Also if you drink coffee, or other caffeinated drinks, then this can also give you the jitters.

Finally, you may be under undue stress, which can lead to difficulty in sleeping.

    Good luck with your sleep!
