Why do some roosters crow in the middle of the night?

Chickens apparently have no internal clock. Darkness puts them to sleep, light wakes them up. Maybe some kind of artificial light is keeping a night crower from sleeping.

Roosters crow whenever they are awake. I had roosters on two sides of a house I lived in and they crowed morning noon and night (all night). It is very annoying.

Whenever a rooster crow it always sees a light. Maybe headlight of cars are the cause. At the middle of the night, try to focus a flashlight unto its eyes. it will surely crow.
