Where could I find auditions or open casting calls for acting parts in the newspaper?

    Normally this is in the the Musical and/or Theatrical Notices section of a newspaper near the classified ads.

    However, in more metropolitan cities, there are newspapers that specifically target the artistic community and would have more listings. In Chicago it is the Reader. In New York The Village Voice. Theses types of papers can usually be found in your local college community, coffee houses and bookstores.
