You can still get pregnant unless something has been damaged by your abortions. Obviously the first and second ones did not prevent you from getting pregnant again. Have yourself checked out by a doctor, they should be able to give you a good answer backed by a degree instead of anonymous people like us :o)

I strongly suggest that you see your OB-GYN for an examination. If there is no uterine damage, you will still be able to get pregnant and carry a pregnancy to term.

I hope not! No, but seriously, my aunt had a few abortions when she was younger, and now that she's at the age where she wants a baby, she can't conceive, even with the help of a fertility clinic. But don't use that possibility as a birth control: try to use condoms or birth control, or even the morning after pill; it's not fair to the fetuses who would one day become babies for you to keep conceiving and aborting. DON'T USE ABORTION AS A BIRTH CONTROL!

Yes, you can. But it could be harder because of uterine damage. All pregnancies leave some scarring behind from the placenta abrupting. It's how doctors can tell how many times a woman has been pregnant. And how and when it ended. But with abortion there's more of a chance, not because of a fault on the doctor, but because the placenta has to be forcably removed too early. It's like if you leave a scab alone it will heal and not leave a scar. But if you pick at it it will.
And after reading your last post I think you should speak not only to your ob/gyn but also to a counciler to see why you are having abortions if you want a baby so badly. I'm not judging you. But I am very worried about why you are doing this to yourself. It's not healthy. Plus, to get past your guilt your going to need to get some help so when you finally do have that baby you long for you can be the best mother possible.

Well, the actual abortion can cause scarring of the uterus. The process can cause scarring of your mental health. If you are hoping to avoid pregnancy, there are better ways than abortion.

Unless there is scarring to the uterus from the abortions you should still be able to get pregnant. If this is what you are trying to do, see a doctor or nurse to get a check up on your fertility/physical condition if you are worried. If you don't want to be pregnant, use protection in the future.

Abortion is not a preventative procedure unless someone goes wrong and damages you. The only way to prevent pregnancy is to not have sex. Birth control works for many (like myself) but accidents still happen no matter how careful a person is.

Have you not figured out what causes pregnancy, yet? Birth control is cheap..sometimes free. A mistake is one thing..but 3? If you don't want kids (and you are SURE of that), for GOD'S sake..get your tubes tied. I do not believe in abortion, but I DO belive in choice..however, I don't think abortion was ever intended, nor should it ever be used as a replacement for birth control. It would be sad if now you want kids and can't have them because of the 3 you threw away.

If you are hoping to carry a child to term, you should be checked for cervical incompetence. The abortion procedure can cause the cervix to become incompetent, causing miscarriage. Your doctor would probably place you in a high risk category until he/she is certain your cervix will hold. They have procedures that can be done to strengthen an incompetent cervix, as well.

Unless the abortions were done by someone without any skill in the field (back alley...), or were done 'because' of a serious complication during a pregnancy (where the complication causes irreversible damage), you will still be able to get pregnant. Abortions do not, under normal circumstances, do any damage to anything that enables pregnancy.
This said, abortions are hardly something to make a habit out of (not saying you are, I'm just making a point), and although they 'shouldn't' cause any damage to your body, you still have to wrestle with the moral issues (if you have the abortions well into pregnancy), financial issues (seriously, condoms are cheaper...), and 'possible' health issues (but as mentioned, they ordinarily don't cause any permanent damage).

Its not helping a person by saying they should not get laid as the term that it was used. She never said anything about her circumstances. I mean she could very well be married and seriously wanting a baby. As myself im married and now pregnant. And i had four. For reasons of abusive ralationships before i was saved. I too am in the same position as you....When I was younger I made some very bad choices but I was in a deep depression at the time of my life. I am now 38 years old and just married a wonderful man. I'm in a really great place in my life where I'm ready to start a family. However, I am so worried I won't be able to get pregnant. I really do love kids very much but I was in a very bad place in my life.

Yes, you could. For goodness sake, stop using abortion as a contraceptive! If you don't want to get pregnant, take precautions and if you're sleeping around, stop it.
If you now want to have a child, see a doctor and get them to do a full examination. Multiple abortions increase the chance of having premature births or miscarriages and of having breast cancer in your 40's and later.
If you're using abortion as a birth control, I wonder if you are mature and responsible enough to bring another child into the world.
