Help answer this question below.
Here is mine from http://pluscupid.com .
I found someone who is wonderful on pluscupid.com. It was love at first sight for both of us. After many emails back and forth, we met for the first time, and he will be relocating to my city soon! He is the most wonderful man I have ever met.
Well, i met my fiancee of Gaia
So i dont think i count
But we are a success story of internet relationships ^^;;
I've been married 3 months to someone I met on match.com. I had been on a bunch of dates during the 6 mo. membership I signed up for, but none of them clicked for me. Then 3 days before it expired and I was going to give up, I got a 'wink' from Ben. We emailed, IMed & phoned, met after a week, he moved in after a year, 10 months after that, we were married!
I think it's a great way to meet people if you are honest about what you want and go into it with an open mind. Don't try to be fake and say things you think people want to hear because it'll all come out eventually anyway.
And don't use a picture of yourself that's like 10 years old! That's just false advertising, haha ;)
Have fun.
No and I don't know anyone who has.
What a pointless answer. Ah.
Sorry, no, although my wife and I did meet online, but it wasn't through a dating site.
Yes - met my fiance in September after bring online for a couple of weeks, got engaged in February and getting married in November. Had a lot more success than with traditional methods and found someone a lot better looking than I would generally go for. A lovely guy.
I went to one of these speed dating things for professionals and actually the guys were pretty hot for the most part. They email your results to you and I was excited because all the guys indicated they would like to go out with me. So I tried to go out with every one and started getting confused with their names and what they did and the stories they told me. It really ended up getting hysterical and I had to get a new cell phone number. It was a totally great ego boost, though.
well i know of several ppl who have had success i don't know if my own online story will be a "happliy ever after" but it is certainly "happy for a while"
i tried one and whether or not it was successful depends on your definition. it was fun for a few months, i'll put it that way!
No I have never tried a dating site but one of my sisters does and seems to have a lot of dating success.
Not anything permanent so far but she seems happy enough.
I've tried them, but no success stories. Creepy and weird, yeah. Dated somebody for awhile, yeah, but no success.
I met my BF on Lavalife. It took about 8 - 10 months to screen through a whole pile of guys who didn't realise they were still hooked into their past relationship, guys who had no idea of what they wanted other than sex, guys who really were actually still in relationships and or married who were just looking for sex, guys who were really just hopeless, and guys for whom the pieces were in place, but we just weren't suitable for each other (a sadly small minority).
I am really happy with my beau, but I wouldn't recommend lavalife. I would go for something like eHarmony that works like a matching service. I haven't tried it personally, so I can't really recommend it, but I have known people who have used it. It seemed to me I could have saved several months of rather disappointing dating and countless weird emails.
my mum met her partner on an internet dating site. theyve been together now 4 years and still going strong. they chatted for a few months and then met up somewhere public and hit it off straigh away. so i wouldn't not try it!
give it a go!
