  • Would you like to come to Australia and help me dig a garden in my backyard. I started yesterday and my back is killing me, but I am sure I lost weight. LOL
  • I just started doing the Atkins diet. Supposedly when you cut out carbohydrates your body turns to its backup energy source and starts burning fat. The stored fat is the first to go. You're supposed to be able to lose 5-10 pounds per week during the first phase of this diet. My stepfather lost 100lbs doing Atkins several years ago.
  • Regular exercise, inlcuding gym, swimming, running, etc. Low calorie diet and reduction in meat and dairy, as well as hidden fats in cakes and biscuits (as a preventative). Also you need to be consuming less calories than you are expending with your exercise, so there is a deficit, which ensures the body takes from the stored body fat.
  • move, move and move. don't sit. stay active by walking and exercise, eat healthy
  • Brisk walking is a great idea, and fun. Give it about a half hour a day and work up.
  • Sex is a good fat burner...so iv been told lol.
  • The most efficient way to burn body fat is to do exactly that--burn it off. Reducing calories by about 500 below your daily needs, per day, while increasing exercise about 500 calories per day will result in a 7000 calorie weekly deficit, or two pound weight loss. Any plan that creates more than a 1-1/2 to 2 pound loss per week is most likely not burning fat, but causing a loss of lean muscle mass and water which will eventually result in a plateau and cannibalization of muscle. Less muscle means a slower metabolism, resulting in MORE body fat. Physiologically fat cannot be lost fast. Do not confuse weight loss and fat loss. I highly recommend burnthefat.com. It is a healthy and proven plan created by a bodybuilder--and they know how to lose FAT!
  • Eat healthy, such as chicken salads, and make a workout schedule which is difficult, but won't wear out your body.
  • Cardio cardio cardio. My buddy in kin recommends jogging... jog at a speed that you can hold and carry a decent conversation at without losing your breath. And do that forever. If you can hold that, then you'll burn more.
  • over an open flame-but don't try it naked
  • One of the main things has nothing to do with either diet nor excersise. I found this was one of my most difficult challenges in losing weight. COMPARISON, whether your comparing yourself to your friends, or people on the street, celebrities and or models, this is NOT a good idea! As far as your friends go, why compare? They have different DNA structures and different body builds, and you will never look exactly like them. Secondly Celebrities and Models are fake, what you see in the magazine is not who they are. And if you were to see what they really look like you'd realise that very quickly. They are airbrushed, photoshopped plastic barbie dolls. I've been on the Atkins diet for a year and 5 months, and I've gone from a whopping 277 pounds to 163 pounds since starting. And let me fill you in on a myth. An addiction involves physical withdrawal -- carbohydrates are not addictive. They do however, help your brain produce serotonin, a "feel good" chemical that enhances our mood. Many people crave carbohydrates when they feel stressed, which leads them to believe they are 'addicted'. It's natural to crave carbs in order to make yourself feel better. Healthy carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, are an important part of our diet -- we need them. They provide antioxidants, energy, fiber and vitamins. It's the processed carbs -- the cakes, candy, cookies, white bread and white rice, that we want to avoid. They have little nutrient value other than calories -- empty calories.
  • Eat lean meat, fresh veggies, and drink lotsa water. Also, lift weights - it's better than pure cardio and you see results really fast!
