Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT and the check engine light was on for 1-2 months, and it was idoling a little rough, but Friday it was starting fine, then it will crank, but not start at all. I have no manual either, what could the problem be?

It could be anything, but it sounds like it may be a misfire, especially where the service engine soon light was on and it was idling rough.
