Colours of the same sort of mood always go well together, like pastel colours or vibrant colours. I personally like natural, earthy colours (browns, beiges, khaki, etc). And of course black goes with anything.

opposite colors go well together, like orange and blue, or red and green, or purple and yellow. I especially love blue and yellow together though.
