You're reading Why doesn't the ongoing genocide in Northern Uganda receive as much attention from the world press as the genocide in the Darfur region of the Sudan?

Thanks, Nitro. I appreciate the information, as sickening as it is.

Good morning J44! "ethnic cleansing" disgusts me to the point of rage... I have been taught only to kill the bad guys, and it is my instinct to want to do so, But... If we stomp over and kill all of the people - that are killing all the people, does that make us bad too??? We did nothing, though. And I am deeply ashamed. So... How was your weekend?

AB and IRS, LOL. Hmmm. My life consists of initials, acronyms, and horrifed reactions to what I hear on NPR. I'm ashamed as well. I just don't know what to do. What's going on in Uganda and the Sudan is the Dark Side running wild and nobody can stop it. Where is God when all this is going on?

Sudan, I guess is on their 3d Revolutionary/Civil war. (In 2004 it was officially called genocide in Sudan, but not in Rwanda. Speaking of God, Sudan is only roughly 5% Christian. I guess God is just going to hang out until someone talks to him. There is also a lot of religious turmoil between the Arab Muslims (janjaweed), and the Black African Muslims. This one has been going on since roughly 1970. I guess really poor folks have barbaric ways. Sheesh... You just reminded me... Don't we get an extra IRS day? (Apr 17)
