Does macys sell fairly cheap prom dresses or at least on sale realy cheap?

    While I don't know about Macy's, I do suggest you check out some of those consignment, second hand shops. Where I live, the really rich won't wear the same outfit more than once, so they send them to these shops. Worn only once, they are usually in excellent condition. And the price is usually about a fifth of what you would pay new.

    Yes they do sell cheap dresses, but I agree with looking at bridal boutiques or consignment sales. My sister got her prom dress at a place that sold brand new gowns that were rejects for little details. It was a shimmer dress and had a run at the bottom you couldn't even see. She paid like $50.00 for it and it was priced at around$250.00 .

    I don't know about Macys either, but if you're looking to save money, buy used. Most prom dresses have only been worn for a few hours and you can save a fortune if you buy one second hand. Check out http://www.formalxchange.com for a good selection of used dresses.

    Macy's had a rep of being over priced but that has changed a lot over the past few years. There are ALWAYS sales and there are always coupons. If you know someone who works at Macys you can ask them to give you coupons that they collect. They are supposed to hand them in at the end of the day but management doesn't count how many they are supposed to have compared to how many coupons were rung up. If you shop right you can get a dress at a very good price. Heck, where do you live? I have so many coupons that my mother in law gave me that I can give to you. She is an INC. specialist in Better Sportswear.

    honestly macys is overpriced. you can still get desient deals but they will cut hole in your wallet. For a dress i would reccomend a boutique
