Any lies that boost their ego and self esteem, while trying to lower yours. Down to their level.

People will lie to themselves about everything imaginable.
Reality is too hard for them to deal with.

If you really and truly don't want something to be true, can you convince yourself that it isn't? How about the other way around? Can you convince yourself that something which isn't true, is?

Why do some people actually believe things that are over-the-top,outrageous and patently untrue? We have an infinite variety of sources to which we can go to find out what is true. Is it so difficult to figure out the difference between truth and lies?

Which is true of a non-subjective issue when(a) both can be correct (b)at least one is wrong(c)neuther is correct and need a third opinion(d)when 2 people disagree about about a matter of there is always something correct in each of their arguments

People sometimes believe what they want/need to believe in order to feel good about themselves....to justify/validate themselves somehow. Whether what they need to believe is true or not doesn't seem to matter so much. What do you think?
