If by super-nice you mean apologizing for being rude the day before, then no harm done. Everyone has bad days.

- I don't mean apologizing. I mean when they seem like they are going out of their way to be nice, acknowledging your words and feelings, taking you seriously, treating you with extreme kindness, etc.

Yep. A friend the other day was very rude. I wasn't angry or upset by her behaviour at all. People do test boundaries with in friendships or relationships and I knew she was just testing our friendship. She was a little taken a back when I mimicked her behavior and directed it right back at her. She came in the follow on day and was as nice as pie.

it's ok.
i think we all have bad hair days. so when someone I like is rude, and then the next day nice, I just write it off as " a bad hair day", or I said something which ticked them off...
and that makes me more mindful the next time.

  My anger rarely lasts a long time. It's too much work to stay angry at people and hold grudges. When I'm angry at someone, it's more at something he or she did or I felt like he or she was doing than at him or her as a person. That's why it can seem like I hate someone, but be totally cool with him or her the next day... or even the next hour. I don't truly hate anyone as a person.

- I am similar, I never keep a grudge.... unless the person backstabs.... and that sometimes has to happen several times, before I complete take them out of my life. cheers
