Do the basics first. I have written an article about dog training. I made a research and stuff like that. I found out that if you want to train your dog to do stuff, you can either have a professional train it for you or you can do it yourself. There is a training called, click training wherein you just need to have a clicker to signal the dog the action you want it to perform however, do not over- click the clicker because that confuses the dog. You need to wait for the dog to notice the click first before giving a follow- up click. Dogs can easily follow hand signal or gestures. Once the dog is able to understand those signals then, it can be followed with talking to them like saying.."sit, stand..." with the clicker.

Start by holding treats over his(for want of a better pronoun) head. When he leans back and opens his mouth drop it in. You can get higher and farther away as he gets the idea. Once he has the concept of catching, move on to treat filled toys, then balls that smell like treats, then regular balls. With most dogs this should take about four months working 2 to 3 times a day for half an hour.
