  • I'm sure there are numerous manicure treatments that will help strengthen nails, but aside from that, increase your calcium intake. Try a daily calcium supplement in addition to a dialy multivitamin, and in a few weeks you should notice your nails are a bit stronger.
  • Eat calcium
  • Take a trip to your local drug store and go to the nail product section. There are many really good products which you can apply to your nails to protect them from chipping, peeling, breaking and which will harden your nails as they grow.
  • You get can 'nail toughener' its like nail warnish and it makes your nails stronger, you can find it in the section where all the nail products are.. : )

  • I have always had very thin nails that never grew. I went through my whole life like this thinking that it was a genetic problem (though my mother always had nice strong nails). I took mulitvitamins, gelatin, Hair and Nails pills, nothing worked. Then I read somewhere that we should be taking 2400 units of vitamin D daily, so I added 1000 unit pills to my multivitamin regimin, and low and behold within three weeks my nails grew like crazy!! They are long, strong and hard and I just love them! I'm in my 50s now but am glad that I finally got lovely nails to show off. Good luck.
