    I was born and raised in San Diego. I lived 2 blocks from the beach, most of my life. I used to go to the Mission Beach Jetty, on my bike, and surf all day, then catch California Spiney Lobsters untill about 2 or 3 in the morning, then ride home.
    My kids lived the same life until they were around 13 or 14 years old. Then we started having race fights here and there along the beaches, and it got really crazy there. We moved to the mountains of Montana.
    My father still lives there, as well as my two brothers. They would like to leave also, and just let the idiots have it. I suppose it is a great vacation destination for people that have never been there, but not for me. I knew San Diego when it was a sleepy little beach town...a heaven on earth.
    I miss the "good ole days" there, but I wouldn't give you a bucket of cold piss for it now.

    I was born in La Jolla. My parents lived in Solana Beach. I've been back only a few times since I was small, but I find the San Diego area quite beautiful, and you simply can't beat the weather. If Californians would stop voting away their constitutional rights and handing out important government jobs to actors and idiots with no governing experience, I'd consider moving back there. :)
