My Mother is Korean and her father still had a head of hair in his late 70s. Some hair keeps falling out whenever I rub my head to remove dandruff. What else causes baldness if not genetics?

Baldness is not entirely inherited from your grandfather on your mothers side. There is research being done, and it is found that it is not as straight forward as saying you will have the same hair loss as your mother's father.

It's normal for some hair to fall out, whether you're becoming bald or not. Until your head actually does get balder, the fact that hair is falling out is no reason for concern.
