Lol well it is true though. If they don't want to be asked or stared at they should like wear a tee shirt that says I'm a woman. Or something. lol Do I hear an idea for a new clothing line? Now also available I'm not pregnant and I am pregnant shirts! So you always know to to congratulate and who to call fat behind their back. :)

It would probably be really humiliating to be asked something like that. A better way to do that would be to introduce yourself by name, and then ask what their name is.

First of all, it can embarrassing to some to be asked. And second of all it depends on how it's asked, the tone and maybe the privacy of the question. It happens to me fairly often and about half the time the question is meant to embarrass or belittle me. My question is why would you feel a need to ask a complete stranger that question to begin with
