I am in my 50's. On my arms I see blood under the skin when I scratch an itch. What causes this?

    hey there, are you on any medications? sounds like the scratching is causing some damage to the dilicate blood vessels under your skin, this could be due to your skin becoming thinner and less protective, or your blood clotting slower than normal, but both can be affected by alot of medications.
