  • In a worst case scenario you can have your driving record cleared after a few years. In most states your driving record can be cleared after 5 to 7 years per your request. Once the slate is wiped clean you will be permitted to re-apply for a driver's license in the manner which someone who was applying for the first time would get one. In less severe circumstances you might be able to attend a driver improvement class and/or perform community service in order to help restore yourself into good standing with your motor vehicle bureau.
  • What did you do to justify a $10,000 judgment? My lord. I've never heard os suspensions being cleared along with a driving record. I work at a police station and we can only get records for the last few years, but if a license is suspended it stays on the record until it's cleared up. The law may vary from state to state. If, in fact, your suspension would be wiped clean, you're lucky. Check with your local DMV or the traffic division of your county courthouse.
  • Your pretty much screwed unless you can afford to make payments to the insurance company. Or you can file chapter 7 bankruptcy and wipe it clean. I'm in the same boat. I was in an accident in 2000. I've been going through this crap ever since. I just recently found out about chapter 7. Now I just have to come up with the money to get that done.
  • All fines and costs have to be settled, before your drivers license can be reinstated. Remember, being issued a drivers license is not a right in all the states. Your state has the authority to cancel your drivers license for just cause.
