Help answer this question below.

how do i get my parents to accept my boyfriend?

We've had out tough times, but i'm willing to try again in good time; when i'm ready. but, my parents are against the whole idea. i keep telling them i'm not with him and i'm telling the truth. will they ever sit down and actually talk to me about it?

    Most parents (good ones, at least) are upset on their daughter's behalf when a boy breaks her heart. Yours sound like they may be a little overprotective. If this is the case, reassure them that you know what you're doing, and will try to keep yourself safe. However, if they dislike him for his personality or values/religious beliefs, then they may never accept him. Many parents cherish this concept of an ideal boyfriend/husband for their daughters (usually one that mirrors their personality, faith, and social class), and they may be very unwilling that their daughter should deviate from this type. In this case, you will have to stand up for your relationship. Show them how committed you are to making this work. Once they see that he makes you happy, they may relent, because good parents want to see their children happy.

    Honestly take this however you want it when it comes to alot of parents they cannot deny fact anything with parents should always be able to be discussed in further detail if not what kind of example do they lead? Try to make this point and tell them "im not dating him, but in the event that i would like to what are your problems with it?" From there make a list and analyze there concerns (with an open mind) and tell them you would like the same courtesy. good luck!
