roughly half.. there was a HUGE surge in births post WWII and a large number are still alive like me. The world is aging rapidly and by percentages few people have large families except in the middle east and areas where fundamentalism exists because they still have some fucked up idea that the earth hasn't been populated enough to suit their imaginary god.
Most modern societies are aging faster than less developed countries, but the older you get the fewer people there will ever be of people in your age group. Nobody is ever born at age 40. ;)
