Can you stop yourself mid seizure? (it's sorta long but it's important you get the details)?

OK well all yesterday I was feeling very lethargic and my body ached. I fell asleep around ten and was fine and woke up around 3am. Couldn't go back to bed so I stayed up watched TV and chatted with some friend for and hour then went to bed. As I was trying to sleep I turned to my right side and fell asleep for a bit and then woke up and I was violently shaking but I was aware and it was weird I almost couldn't feel my arms but it felt like I had to force myself out of it how did I do that I honestly don't know but I did and it stopped. I turned to my left side and was completely fine and I remember trying to turn back to to my right and I felt the shaking coming on again so I stayed on my left side. I looked it up and I found oh maybe it's epilepsy but I never heard of people being able to stop seizures I never that I can remember have had that happened before but I have had events where I woke up and couldn't move. Advice, thoughts do you think it could be something supernatural that's some other stuff I heard. THANK YOU!

Science covers everything so no reason to bother with the super natural stuff.
It could have been sleep induced where you couldn't wake up all the way.
It sounds like a seizure. There are a lot of different types of seizures with a number of different reactions. I am not one the tells people to go the doctor too often, but I am suggesting that you go to a neurologist that specializes on seizure disorders.
Here is s site that is dedicated to types of seizure disorders that you may want to check out.

yours doesn't seems to be an epilepsy. It's something related to heart pumping and blood flow. I feel many a times where my eyes is open and I cannot move my hand or legs. when I move my hand during that time .. i feel like is moving but in actual its not. Its just like a dream. I felt like i am shouting for help but in actual its not happening. I always long for some one to shake my body. During that time what i do is I try control my breathing and slowly move my legs thumb finger. If I am able to move the thumb I basically get out of the situation. So.. if I can control the breath and not able to move .. it will be that i will be having a major heart attack.

one thing I would like to share is that during that time.. I have seen my self sleeping on the bed and i am moving around looking at myself. That was ridiculous and weird. After that incident I m always thinking what was that.

My daughter and I have had this happen to us before, but neither one of us has been diagnosed with seizure disorder.
It is strange because we would swear we were awake when it happens, but after we are fully awake, we think it was just a very powerful dream. not sure?

My sister has "non-specific" epilepsy, but she has never been able to stop 'mid-seizure'.

Check with your doctor - Stay safe and well!
