How does someone get a job at a "think tank"?

Huge degrees or a highly visible position in a leading technical corporation or government. The only person I know of ever to work in a real think tank was the wife of a co-worker. She was an Air Force bird colonel with 20+ years of service and said to be quite brilliant, by her husband, of course, who was a retired USAF E-8.

Well getting into think tanks 50 years ago was hard, Now a days its as simple as advertising the fact that your willing to put forth 'studies' backing any major political parties stance on a political issue.

Be very curious...ask profound questions....be a divergent thinker...be verbal...be visible...publish papers...network with 'think tanks' by communicationg your questions/suggestions/ideas and debate their decisions and ideas.

1. You should not even admit that you think in a box. 2. Encourage your Think Tank team to give their boxes away.
