I used to live in Palos Verdes, which is a suburb of Los Angeles ... many years ago some guy decided it would be cool to have peacocks roaming around his property, and he bought 2 ... his mistake was he got a male and a female, and now there are hundreds of them, the largest flock of wild peacocks in the world outside their natural habitat ... the community is strongly divided, people either love them because they're exotic and beautiful, or hate them because they destroy flower gardens, make an awful screeching noise, and like to sit in top of (and thus crap on) cars ... I would occasionally see them in my neighborhood, one or two at a time, but have seen as many as 5 at once in my driveway ... personally, I find them quite annoying ... but they do have their own Facebook page: Peacocks of Palos Verdes
