Help answer this question below.
I don't know where you heard that females prefer a circumcised penis, because I certainly don't and neither do any of the women I know.
Don't do it there's no need.
You were born with it, you should keep it.
i think your nuts cutting off part of yourself to please another. what is she going to cut off for you?
If it is medically necessary, yes. If it is just for appearance sake, I would forget the idea. I am sure there is a female who would love you no matter what your penis looked like.
Unless it's for medical reasons, circumcision is mutilation, there's no other word for it.
Don't do it....I prefer uncircumcised...(I am also married - sorry), leave it alone.
As long as you keep it clean and sweet smelling most girls will not have a problems. That's the secret - keeping it clean and sweet smelling. (You know what I mean!)
If a girl doesn't like you because of that - then think about it for a moment, that's a pretty superficial reason not to like a person. Same as not liking a person because they have brown hair not black, or green eyes not blue...
L E A V E I T A L O N E !!!
now, thats just silly. women don't mind if its circumcised or not... we want the person attached to it.
Don't. That sounds really stupid.
Please don't cut up your weenis just because you mistakenly think girls prefer it. Anyone that cares about you enough to be seeing your penis alot will like you just the way you are. So only do something like that (something painful and unnecessary) if it's what you want, not to make someone else happy.
The truth of the matter is, when a penis is erect, it really makes no difference whether it is circumsized or not.
I love your penis the way it is, Babe. And I love YOU just the way you are!
Whatever you do, don't wear a button, a badge or a shirt that says "Girls, I am now Circumcised. You are going to prefer me now"..... You won't get any if you do that..
whatever you do, make sure that you don't do it yourself to save money.
I wouldn't do it especially to impress girls. We don't care what your willy looks like.
I like uncircumcised men. Surely I'm not alone. You might want to reconsider.
Ouch! I think you should just wait until you find a female who isn't shallow and will except you, extra skin) and all. You were born with it so how bad can it really be?
don't do it.
the healing process can be incredibly painful and you'll scar a lot worse
rather than getting circumcized when you're a baby.
i've met a lot of people who prefer uncut guys, anyway.
foreskin doesn't make that big of a difference, as long as you use your tool right.
Look if your clean it just does not matter. It isn't like your going to just go about showing your privates around. (are you)? If any female judges you for what you already have then she have to be pretty shallow and will most likely find fault in you anyway. I say if you want to do it for yourself then of course do it but do not change yourself for anyone else. Find a woman who is willing to accept you without change not for one who demands you change.
Why should it matter what your penis looks like? Its about how you use it. In the end its going to do one thing and circumcised or not it's going to get done. So forget circumcision and be happy the way you are :)
Don't do it. Just be happy with a natural penis, the way it should be.
Don't do it b/c you think girls will like you better. If a girl cares about you, she shouldn't mind.
If you want to do it b/c you would prefer it, go for it.
1) "I was circumcised in Jan this year - and yes it does make a big difference during sex.
The good news is that it makes the penis much cleaner and most people say it looks better with the bellend exposed (my girlfriend certainly prefers me cut).
The problem I've had is with the loss of sensation in the bellend. When I had a foreskin, the bellend was covered up all the while and it felt really sensitive to touch whenever I pulled my foreskin back. Now, the bellend is permanently exposed and rubbing against clothing etc. which has made it go much tougher and dryer and gives me hardly any feeling during sex or when I wank.
So, my verdict is..... looks much better cut but you get MUCH more feeling uncut."

2) "The American Academy of Pediatrics (1999) stated "a survey of adult males using self-report suggests more varied sexual practice and less sexual dysfunction in circumcised adult men. There are anecdotal reports that penile sensation and sexual satisfaction are decreased for circumcised males. Masters and Johnson noted no difference in exteroceptive and light tactile discrimination on the ventral or dorsal surfaces of the glans penis between circumcised and uncircumcised men." In January 2007, The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) stated "The effect of circumcision on penile sensation or sexual satisfaction is unknown. Because the epithelium of a circumcised glans becomes cornified, and because some feel nerve over-stimulation leads to desensitization, many believe that the glans of a circumcised penis is less sensitive. ... No valid evidence to date, however, supports the notion that being circumcised affects sexual sensation or satisfaction."
Boyle et al. (2002) stated that "the genitally intact male has thousands of fine touch receptors and other highly erogenous nerve endings—many of which are lost to circumcision." They concluded, "Evidence has also started to accumulate that male circumcision may result in lifelong physical, sexual, and sometimes psychological harm as well.""

3) "Foreskin restoration has been reported as having beneficial emotional results in some men, and has been proposed as a treatment for negative feelings in some adult men about their infant circumcisions. Such claims are not supported by all medical authorities, however.
Such negative feelings were discussed in the poll mentioned above. Respondents suffered from: emotional distress, manifesting as intrusive thoughts about one's circumcision, including feelings of mutilation (60%), low self-esteem/inferiority to intact men (50%), genital dysmorphia (55%), rage (52%), resentment/depression (59%), violation (46%), or parental betrayal (30%). Many respondents (41%) reported that their physical/emotional suffering impeded emotional intimacy with partner(s), resulting in sexual dysfunction. Almost a third of respondents (29%) reported dependence on substances or behaviors to relieve their suffering (tobacco, alcohol, drugs, food and/or sexual compulsivity).
In "Prepuce Restoration Seekers: Psychiatric Aspects," a 1981 report published in the Archives of Sexual Behavior, four men seeking surgical foreskin restoration were examined. The report provides descriptions of the motivational forces behind the desire for foreskin restoration among these four men."

Dude your 22 and havent had a problem with it so far the chick is going to go out with you not your unit cut or not. if she is that shallow then dump her and find somone that likes you for you. I am not and have had only one girl freak about it and i dumped her most of the other girls didnt care. and they really dont see it untll you get her into bed anyhow. Just maintane it you will be fine!
curtdude
Would you amputate a toe if you think girls would like it? Think hard before deciding of permanently removing a body part which is an important part of your own sexuality.
In my country male circumcision is extremely rare, and while there might be preferences either way, almost no-one really cares.
There is no reason for getting circumcised at your age unless you are joining a tribe that requires it as a right of passage into manhood.
I hear uncircumcised feels better, like condoms that are ribbed for pleasure. Watch the Penn and Teller BS on circumcision and you may change your mind. Besides, circumcised or not, penises are ALWAYS gross.
i dont have a preference. i think that would just hurt a lot and not really make a difference
Been watching too many Seinfeld episodes
I'm 22 as well and uncircumcised. Secondly most women are going to prefer a circumcised male because that is the norm,m though having read over some of these answers I could be wrong. It's psychological, just like you prefer American soda to European which makes sense cause that is what you are used to. That shouldn't sway you though. Do your thing, you got your full package together and you ought to be proud of it. Also, I've had a few partners, for most of which I was their first time having seen someone uncircumcised, none have backed down and most ( :p ) enjoyed the experience nonetheless. Keep your boy in one piece and celebrate your wholeness as a man. After all, not a lot of guys can boast that nowadays...
Please feel free to do something stupid. You're an adult.
You do what u want to do, mind you don't let anyone make that decision but your own self, and I don't think that answerbag would be a good place becuase there's too many people with alot of diffrent opions. when I was first born I was circumsised. Statistics also say that you're less prone to getting HIV or AIDS or anyother STD if you are cirucmsied, but that doesn't nessesairly mean that you won't get the disease. You're just less prone to it. I hope this answers your question.
Do something like that because you want to do it not because some chick will like it.
Hey, she doesn't have to live with it - you do!
And if a girl doesn't like the way you look, ask her if its what it looks like or the feeling she is gonna have that she wants to concentrate on.
That would be a bad decision consitering what I have heard women say about circumcised sex partners.
i dont think that will be smart.i honestly prefer uncircumsised over a "cut" penis.i bet there are others out there that think the same
I'm a woman, I prefer uncircumcised penises.
the human foreskin is THE most erotic part of the human male. I never had a foreskin until I reclaimed it by stretching. You will not have major problems medically by keeping it. You WILL lose allot of feeling because you will lose over 20000 nerve endings. Don't do it, You will come to regret it some day. Good luck to you
I have been circumcised as a child.
However necessary, it is never fully explained to you, and women do not really understand. Unless it is necessary -leave alone
Personally, I went through the procedure thinking it would be cleaner, more attractive and better performing. Forget it! Unless you're a slob and hate baths or showers, don't do it. In the long run circumcision (mutilation) is debilitating.
Dude i am not circumcised and have had only one parnter that didnt like my unit and i dumped her on the spot. Dude a chick should be going out with you not your unit. If she is so hung up on your uncircumcised penis then you need to dump her and move on. Dudes dont have problems with chicks when thier breasts are not equal in size because most are not. or if the do not shave thier legs and they are all prickly when rubbed against us. dude if your getting cut just becuase of a chick it isnt the right reason. Good luck with your desison
curtdude
uncut dude
are you kidding here ---- run like hell, the little boy does not need to be traumatized
Yes, we dig it! So go right ahead! Go right ahead you minus me as long as you want but I wouldn't change my preference even if I'm in love :P
Don't do it. Look at the other questions about circumcision, a lot of females prefer the foreskin. Men are born with it for a reason. Plus it wouldn't be worth the pain.
No! The four skin serves many functions and women actually prefer sex with a natural penis. Do you really want to cut off all those nerves that you've come to know and love.
Use your own head, no not that one, and make the decision that best suits what you want.
Likely you will get it cut off only to meet a girl who prefers au naturel.
i wouldn't do it circumcised males are known to loose some of their sensitivity down there and the extra skin acts as a agent to better sex
Females don't get a vote on YOUR equipment. Cleanup is easier if you're cut, but you loose some nerve endings so sensitivity is reduced as well. I think by the time you're your age, it's silly to do it for cosmetic reasons. Keep your foreskin clean and teach her to use it properly as she fondles you.
Hmm, let's see - enjoy the pleasure of a sensitive glans, and freedom from pain, or ask some geezer to hack about your prize asset, which should you choose? It's better the way it was designed to be. Apart from the pain and inconvenience during healing, it's going to chafe for months, until finally you lose sensation in the tip. Why would you want that? I mean, if you heard that girls prefer it with nails driven through and then dipped in vinegar, you wouldn't rush out - right? Just keep it clean, and enjoy all the fun. Wouldn't give mine up for anyone!
I think your going to sob in agony for a few months if you follow through.
I wouldnt if i were a guy your age. my boyfriend is almost 24, and i can tell you there is no difference for the girl. its really not that big of a difference apperance wise either. i'm affraid it would be really painful for you to go thru.
Unless medically necessary, leave it the way it was made. If she doesn't like they way you were made it is time to find someone else.
Do what you feel is right for you. it's not a necessary operation. Don't worry what people like or dislike. Just make sure you are well informed before going through with it. Talk with several doctors about it's benefits and down sides. Good luck.

You're reading I'm 22 and thinking of getting circumcised. I hear females prefer it what do you think I should do?
Comments
There are a lot of nerve endings in there. You want to get rid of them for what reason? You don't like sex?

http://www.circinfo.net/ Read this article.
" In women circumcision of the male partner provides substantial protection from cervical cancer and chlamydia. Circumcision has socio-sexual benefits and reduces sexual problems with age. It has no adverse effect on penile sensitivity, function, or sensation during sexual arousal. Most women prefer the circumcised penis for appearance, hygiene and sex. Given the convincing epidemiological evidence and biological support, routine circumcision should be highly recommended by all health professionals. BioEssays 29:1147-1158, 2007. another pro-circ. The study was with jewish women and when adjusted for race there was no difference. And the function part is just a lie. Routine infant circumcision is gentile mulutilation.
by coalbear on April 29th, 2009
No, no, it functions normally :)
by Nahui_X on April 30th, 2009
A circumcised male functions as "normally" as a circumcised female, both have been multilated. You can't be normal when went all the parts are just not there.
by tigr2k7 on May 18th, 2009
The organ still functions normally, maybe it doesn't look "normal" but it works like a normal one does.
by Nahui_X on May 18th, 2009
You're entitled to you opinion, but after circumcision there are thousands of nerves that are removed with the foreskin. A circ'd penis becomes calloused without the covering of a foreskin, along with scar tissue.
Like female circumcision nerves are cut and damaged, and scar tissue is left in it's place.
by tigr2k7 on May 20th, 2009
Simple question .. Axizeis , what sexual parts of females do you reccommend cutting off to prevent females from harboring bacteria/stds and spreading them to males ???
.. the Stallings Study showed the benefits of female circumcision , even when performed under primitive conditions (tanzania)..
by tigr2k7 on May 20th, 2009
Read the article I sent you, the procedure doesn't affect the performance or feeling of it at all. There's plenty of benefits of it too, like it helps prevent cervical cancer in their partner. And I'm circumsized and there is no callouses and it works normally and there's no difference, the nerves are not damaged because they aren't there anymore. Circumsizion doesn't change the performance or feeling of the penis whatsoever, it's not MY opinion, it's science, read the article.
by Nahui_X on May 21st, 2009
Brian Morris in not a medical doctor, you cannot rely on the articles written by people/websites setup by people with a fetish for circumcision.
Mr. Morris just writes and posts fictional stories that promote circumcision... Morris, Schoen, Wiswell, Waskett ... are all sources of fictional material.
by tigr2k7 on May 22nd, 2009
Schoen as also been known to write "circumcision poetry" , and has articles featured at the site you're quoting. Edgar Schoen ... " Ode to the circumcised male" one of his circumcision poems.
by tigr2k7 on May 22nd, 2009
If I can't rely on them, then I can't rely on you either. I'm circumsized and there's no difference in feeling or performance or anything. It's a lot cleaner and safer too.
http://www.circinfo.com/benefits/bmc.html
There's another article on the benefits, scroll about down to the middle and read "Benefits of circumsision"(especially #6) you'll see.
by Nahui_X on May 24th, 2009
Yes I agree with you that a cosmetic circumcision, boob-job, or women cutting toes to fit into shoes... may make people better about themselves. But don't confuse cosmetics with actual medicine ... much safer to just dye/cut your hair if you want to change your cosmetic->appearance and do less damage.
Circ ...is labeled as cosmetic by medical associations all around the world. YOU yourself are pointing to the shallow cosmetic value some people attach to circ.
by tigr2k7 on May 24th, 2009
Shallow? It helps you not get cancers as well as your partner, that's not shallow at all. I only look at the health benefits, I don't give a shit what people think my c*ck LOOKS like...they shouldn't be looking down there in the first place.
by Nahui_X on May 24th, 2009
Medical associations around the world label it cosmetic, the odds of benefiting from circ are so-low that the possibility of damage from circumcision isn't worth the risk, and not worthy of recommendations by medical professionals.
Sorry but circ is what it is, a very old tribal ritual that just doesn't have much value. Besides the proposed "benefits" can be seen in populations that have never practiced circ, making circ a useless idea.
by tigr2k7 on May 24th, 2009
(Axizeis-Q) ..I don't give a shit what people think my c*ck LOOKS like... "Benefits of circumsision"(especially #6) you'll see…->>>.””#6.. men, and their partners, prefer the appearance… it feels cleaner (not proven cleaner)… Awareness of a good body image … building self confidence””
**** By your own choice you concentrated on an answer with cosmetic benefits, not proven facts at all… (Fuzzy Logic??)
by tigr2k7 on May 24th, 2009
I meant where it says "they enjoy better sex". It is proven cleaner actually, because there is no skin for dirt to get under. And damage? Doctords know what they're doing, I know a lot of people who've been circ'd and no damage has been done. The risk for damage is very low actually depending on how good the doctor is and the tools used, most of them are very advanced and proffessional. There are many benefits of it, and the risk for damage is only if it's done in a bad area or bad doctors, otherwise the risk is low.
by Nahui_X on May 25th, 2009
The majority of the world gets along just fine without amputating the healthy body parts of children. Between circumcision and soap n water, the most effective choice is simple soap n water.
http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/8812.html.. .. look at what women said in comparing sexual experiences with sexual partners who were circumcised versus intact sexual partners…..The 139 women respondents were overwhelming in favor of sex with intact partners……with their circumcised partners, women were less likely to ?really get into it? and more likely to ?want to get it over with,?"…..the consistency with which women felt more intimate with their unaltered partners is striking,"
by tigr2k7 on May 25th, 2009
A common side effect of circumcision is meatal ulcers and meatal stenosis. The foreskin is not useless it is designed to protect a child from infection. The study below included both circumcised and intact children, the problems only occurred in the circumcised children. Sometimes additional surgery is needed to correct problems caused by circumcision.http://cpj.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/45/1/49 ... “The diagnosis was made in 24 of 329 circumcised boys who were Tanner I development and older than 3 years of age … Meatal stenosis may be the most common complication following neonatal circumcision. The frequency of this complication and the need for surgical correction need to be disclosed as part of the informed consent for neonatal circumcision.”
by tigr2k7 on May 25th, 2009
I doubt sex with an intact partner is any different then with a circumsized partner. It couldn't find the page either so I didn't see it. And I'm circumsized and I have no problems whstsoever. There's many artiles saying that it's cleaner and safer and that women enjoy better sex with circumsized partners, and there's many that say the opposite. I'm pretty sure one little piece of skin doen't affect sexual performance or feeling or any of that for either partners. I've also read that it is cleaner to be circ'd because infections can happen on the foreskin.
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
Here's things I've read as well. "Foreskin is a natural gliding stimulator of the vaginal walls during intercourse, increasing a woman's overall clitoral stimulation, helping her to achieve orgasm more easily..." Then I read "Since 2000 a number of studies from around the world have compared measurements of sexual pleasure before and after adult male circumcision. Published results have shown no significant differences whether or not the foreskin is present. Indeed, circumcised men have some advantages.
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
[Continued]...Circumcised men have been found to engage in more varied sexual activity. Women, by a margin of about 3 to 1, prefer the circumcised penis, mainly because of cleanliness which is of particular importance in oral sex. There is a minimal difference in the sexual act itself – circumcised men take slightly longer to reach orgasm after vaginal insertion, an effect considered to be advantageous. Longer and cleaner sex is better sex."
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
Looks like it doesn't make that much of a difference. "This study hypothesized that, because circumcision is usually a maternal choice and the circumcised penises are perceived by young women as more attractive, most women prefer circumcision for sexual reasons.
Of 145 new mothers of sons responding to this survey, 71-83% preferred circumcised penises for each sexual activity listed.
Visual appeal and sexual hygiene were predominate reasons for favoring circumcised sexual partners. Even among women having sexual experience only with uncircumcised partners, only half preferred uncircumcised penises for sexual partners. Eighty-nine percent of the sample had had their sons circumcised. This study furthers debate over whether circumcision decisions should be based solely on medical considerations limited to the newborn period."
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
Doesn't matter if you can get that disease from being circ'd you can get many more from being un-circ'd. And as you can see the sexual performance is no different.
http://wiki.idebate.org/index.php/Argument:_Women_prefer_cleaner_circumcised_penis
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
All in all, I really don't give a shit what women like or "prefer". I don't care if they don't like me or my cock, it's too late now, and I'm not having an operation to bring it back. I guess I'll just get a dog and become a loner then. I don't think any of the stuff is true, it's all personal opinion and tastes, some women like it un-circ some like it circ, either one doesn't really change sexual performance or feeling for either partner in general it seems to me, so I don't care. It's just a flab of skin, no real difference between a circ and non-circ it seems. And also they both seem equally healthy so..yeah.
by Nahui_X on May 27th, 2009
http://www.circlist.com/resources/circlist.html
“Circlist has always permitted, and will continue to permit, circumcision related fetish/sexual postings/materials, straight, gay or otherwise…… not just a medical interest list, but rather all things circumcision, including circ-fetish, sexual info, medical info and a place to meet up with fellow circumcision enthusiasts.”
You continually use the writing of known circumcision fetish sites and Fetishists.. medical professional that support circumcision are missing. Schoen is not a reputable … Mr . Schoens Circumcision Poetry clearly identifies him as a Fetishist.

Reasons to circumcise
….Circumcision is a part of your religious or cultural tradition, or it is common practice in your family. (ritual, not medical)
Having your son circumcised means you will not have to worry about the small risk of later problems the surgery may prevent. (Parental Worry/Fear is not a medical need, newborns should not have body parts amputated to satisfy their parents ritual behaviors..)
by tigr2k7 on May 27th, 2009
Fetishes? What are you talking about? I looked at real medical proffessionals that suport it, those are REAL doctors. ANd the sites you showed me either don't work, or just look like some sort of bullshit blog. So if I were you I woldn't be telling ME to "get real". And small risk? It's a much bigger risk if the kid is non-circumsized.
http://men.webmd.com/guide/circumcision-decision-weighing-risks-benefits
There's another real medical article.
by Nahui_X on May 28th, 2009
http://www.thelaboroflove.com/articles/are-there-medical-benefits-to-circumcision/
There's another that's REAL medical proffessionals supporting circumsision, not fetishists. There are many reasons to circumsize and etc. To ME there's realy NO difference. From al lthe shit I've read and heard and experienced, to me it doesn't seem like that big a difference, besides the look(obviously) other then that it doesn't seem like that big of a difference whether it's circ or non-circ. Personally I lke being circ'd, I don't find it any different anyways. It all depends on personal tastes and opinions, either way there's not really a difference between the two it doesn't seem. So yeah. :)
PS. Those articles were all real medical proffesionals and studies not fetishes. Sicko.
by Nahui_X on May 28th, 2009
Also, I've read many more articles where studies and stats showed that women prefer a circumsized man and had better sex with the circumsized man as well. Exactly the opposite of your article above a couple posts. Either way, there's no difference, so anybody that prefers this over that is just stupid. Sexual performance dosn't depend on some stupid flap of skin, whether it's there or not. And if people are that shallow as to not give someone a chane because of a flab of skin on their genitals, then I don't want anything to do with people at all. There's no difference to me, I've been both places. I don't see what such a big fuss over this is. it's a fucking tiny piece of skin, people need to get over themseves, seriously.
by Nahui_X on May 28th, 2009
So stop god damn writing to me! I don't care anymore about this bullshit! It makes no difference to me, so why should it to anyone else. Damn...people are stupid.

It isn’t your fault that you can’t find legitimate medical groups that support circumcision, across the world most medical groups have never supported or viewed circumcision as having any medical value.
When medical groups did (mistakenly) support circumcision, it was for reasons that are now proven false or ridiculous. So it’s understandable that all medical groups distance themselves from this ritual. The myths and personal opinions continue, but medical support has evaporated.
