My dog has soft stool with blood in it, what might be wrong?

there could be internal bleeding. Its hard to tell from where, but the color of stool may be a good indicator.Black is high in the digestive tract, could be a stomach ulcer. Reddish is further down, could be ulcers in small intestine or ulcerative colitis. Red blotches or streaks on surface of stool could be bleeding in the large intestine or rectum. This could be bleeding hemmoroids. You need to take a sample of the dogs stool to the vet. This could be life threatening. Let me know.
