  • Because God is not judged by the same standard as us. He is an altogether different Being, the Creator of all life, and Master over it. His creatures are commanded not to kill one another. It is right, on the other hand, for Him to have power of life and death over His creatures--He doesn't "play God" as we might; He is God. (He does grant some authority to humans under laws which are meant to protect the innocent; those who misuse that authority will ultimately answer to Him for it.) It was the rebellion of His creatures that introduced death into His creation. When He manages and uses death for His purposes, He is still acting toward the greatest good, albeit according to principles we cannot fathom.
  • According to the Bible: All have sinned (Rom. 3:23) The just punishment for sin is death (Rom 6:23) If God, the righteous judge, invokes the just sentence of death against a sinner it is an execution, not a murder. Murder is by definition the intentional, unjust taking of innocent human life. The position of the Bible is that failure to punish is sometimes evil and meeting out even capital punishment is sometimes right and good - but I do not believe it is ever pleasant or joyful.
  • 1. God is a solipsist. 2. God set up good and evil as rules for man, they are not the universal truths. 3. All murder is killing, not all killing is murder. 4. I believe all killing is bad karma, many people believe that some killing and even some murder is not evil. 5. There is no God.
  • God would not kill out of malice, thus would not comit murder. The natural state of things is that everything that has a beginning has an end. All life has a baeginning, thus all life will have an end. Any death appears to be too soon to those who were close to them. Besides, we all know that the Bible states that God gave us free will so that we are not servants but more like children and does not have complete power over us, so how we meet our end is out of his hands. Just like a parent wants the best for us and does all they can to protect us but cannot fully protect us against the ways of nature nor ourselves.
  • First of all, there is a difference between MURDER and KILLING. If you walk up to someone and shoot them in the head ... that is MURDER ... if someone breaks into your house and tries to rape you or a member of your family at gun/knife point ... and out of self defense you take their life ... that is KILLING. God said in Exodus 20:13 - "You shall not murder." ... so there is a DIFFERENCE between MURDER and KILLING. That is not, however, a license to kill ... because Jesus Christ said in Luke 6:29 - "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either." ... so we are called AS CHRISTIANS (or "Fulfilled Jews" for Jews) to be peace makers and love our neighbors. In the past, God, out of His infinite knowledge and perfect justice, chose His justice to be carried out by the Israelites in many different ways. Many people may have a problem with that ... but then again ... God said to Job in Job 38:4-5 - "Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, Who set its measurements? Since you know. Or who stretched the line on it?" ... so don't question God out of your imperfect sense of justice. We are sinful, limited & weak human beings ... what match are we for an all knowing & all loving God?
  • First of all, there is a difference between God bringing a person to Him in heaven and a human murdering another human. The universe exists because of God's will. God created our mortal bodies in such a way that each of us would eventually die and then our immortal souls would go on to eternal life in heaven (or, if we chose to be separated from God forever, go to the other place). Murder, in addition to not showing the love that each human being deserves, is the murderer trying to impose his will of when a person should die upon God's will. It is always a bad idea to mess with the will of God. With love in Christ.
  • First of all check your premises and you will find that one of them may be wrong. When you have reached the level of God and God consciousness, good and evil cease to exist. Murder is an act. God is not an act. God created human beings with Divine counsciousness already in place. God also gave us "free will" to do as we please. God doesn't murder anyone.
  • Death is not evil. It is nessicary no matter how you look at it. Everything must die at some point in time. As far as god being "absolute good" I think that's a little too black and white. I think God, in whatever form you want to see the Creator in, is neither good nor evil, but a Gray medium for which all his/her action is explainable, but maybe not understandable to us. Yet.
  • 1. Not all killing is murder. 2. Not all killing is evil. 3. The same people who decry God as evil because He executes judgment and punishment of the living are typically the same people who turn around and condemn God for not killing Hitler, Stalin, or Pol Pot soon enough, or for letting Dahmer live long enough to repent.
  • He contradicts himself many times, he enjoys the slaying of innocent animals and asks for the death of other human beings..he admits he's jealous, he preaches compassion one second and the next he's asking for homosexuals to be stoned....not such a great god in my opinion
  • Sometimes killing is necessary in God's eyes for the benefitting of others.
  • Who is God supposed to have killed and what is the evidence against Him??
  • Whos to say its a killing and simply not your time is up or you did something that put you on the spot to get killed by another human. If you die of disease or of just old age, than how is that murder. If you die at the hands of someone defending themselves then you knew you took the risk the moment you entered the room,so its kind of like suicide by stupity. If you died at the hands of someone evil, simply because you were at the wrong place at the wrong time, again, no proof God sent an assassin. I look at life like one big play with God being the director/producer. He knows what characters should remain and which should be given more chances to develop. When the actors sabatage another character (murder) than they ruin the whole story because that character didn't have time to develop (soul). Now when the producter/director cuts a character its because either the character is no longer needed (have reached their destiny) or they just aren't developing at all (souless). I know I'm going to get DRd for this but this is MY opinion of the question posed. If you have an opinion than I suggest you jot it down as an answer.
