Ok, I told everybody you should try to see Pink Floyd "Pulse". Did you

You're reading For the first time in my life I paid attention to Pink Floyd last night (on a Public T.V. feature). How many agree that they are terrific?

Thanks. I didn't mean for it to be news - just a statement of my experience after having never taken the time to listen to them. 45 years ago I was 27 years old and had just finished my graduate study after working night shift in a factory for 6 years and fulfilling my Air Force Reserve obligation at the same time (while supporting my young family which by then included two children. I didn't have much time to explore the musical talents back then. I'll tell you - I sure was impressed while watching that performance on television last night. I'm not sure when or where it took place. Even had they eliminated all of the "extras" and simply played the music - it would have been memorable.

@cloud: You might look at your local PBS website and see what you were watching.
But I suspect it was:
"The progressive rock heroes perform their seminal 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon from start to finish, in the original running order. Hits include “Money,” “Breathe,” “Speak to Me” and “Time.” Filmed October 20, 1994 during the Division Bell tour at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre, the captivating concert features David Gilmour (vocals/guitars), Nick Mason (drums) and Richard Wright (keyboards/vocals) at their best with flawless sound and amazing visual effects. No other band has impacted the live rock music performance quite like Pink Floyd. This concert is a testament to why."

Thanks again Possum. I followed your advice and here is what I found:
"Australian Pink Floyd Show: Live from the Hammersmith Apollo Taped in front of a sold-out London audience on July 17, 2011, this one-hour concert features an astonishing note-for-note rendering of Pink Floyd's music, evocative atmosphere, lasers, explosions, and more."
I distinctly remember one of the moderators saying that original Pink Floyd members had indicated this sounded better than their original band!
It's paradoxical to me that as a retired college professor, "We Don't Need No Education" was one of the songs I enjoyed the most!

Damn, be kind...not everyone stumbles onto the same stuff all at once, Possum!
When my children were little I sang them Beatles songs now and then. At four my middle daughter, upon hearing "Rocky Raccoon" on the radio told the household, "That's my mom's song! You can't sing it only she can!"
