Actually, color doesn't change the function of ps2. The function stays the same, but the only difference stays in color. Black and silver both ps2's function are the same, but only color is different. silver is more attractive color then Black. So i would say that silver ps2's color is better then black ps2's color.

(I know this thread is old but hey) Mmmm not quite true... The silver PS2s (at least in Australia) were built to be quieter - larger, slower running fan i believe - and have a built in infra-red reciever, meaning you only had to buy the remote control, not the adapter. Apart from that, there isn't much difference apart from tha fact the silver looks cooler :-p
