Well, to be completely technical, I right now could charge you with defending this post on Answer Bag and hold you accountable for the peace and safety on this post. You are now a Justice of the Peace appointed by a citizen of the community. But, to actually _become_ a Justice of the Peace, the process differs country to country. Since I am in the United States, I will write how to become one in the the United States. You first need a legal degree then you need to run and become a county judge... Or you can obtain a marriage license and preside over a wedding. That makes you a Justice of the Peace in the context I believe you were asking...
