Yes, it should be less expensive for also maintenance on conditions, so they do not get worse and cause other conditions...

There is no money in that.
The profit is in the treatment, not the cure.

Not make money off of sick people, why that is just UN-American.

many Americans can't afford to go to the doctor until they absolutely have to. Which usually means extremely expensive emergency room visits.

- True, put when you go for your first visit or a physical your doctor should put you on a diet, exercise, sleep, no drinking/smoking etc... plan and this can prevent up to 95% of all diseases.

- Bull, that shit happens every day. A guy that was interning at my job over the summer got kicked off his parents insurance when he turned 21. The then had an accident and got a big fat bill.
  The same thing happened to a another guy my wife used to work with, but he was hurt more seriously. He was in hospital for almost a year. His bill was just short of $2M.
  
  If you lose your job and get sick or hurt, you are screwed. We can do better then that in America.

Yes and this is what the healthcare system here in the UK aims to do. A good healthcare system should do all it can to try and improve the health of its nation by investing in critical prevention and wellness initiatives that help keep people healthy and out of the hospital in the first place. When we help people to quit smoking, prevent obesity and give them the tools and information they need to live healthier lives we all benefit. Chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability in many countries including the UK and can be an incredible drain on the healthcare system. Most of the money spent on healthcare goes toward people with at least one chronic condition some of these conditions include diabetes, heart disease and obesity, conditions that we know we can prevent. Preventing diseases should be an essential component of healthcare as it can help stop diseases before they happen and therefore preventing illness and disease should be the foundation of a good healthcare system.

- I'm from the U.S., would you say that the government in the U.K. really cares and centers it's objectives around it's citizens rich, middle, and poor? Would you say so also of scandinavian countries? I'am seeing scandinavian countries each are number one in something with regards to quality of life, health and lifespan, salary, education, and happiness. Why do you think this is? Could it be the taxes they have in that part of the world that are higher than any other place? How are th taxes in the U.K.?

The chemical companies that own the hospitals would decrease in profits due to their partial causing of the medical conditions.
