  • CHINDWIN RIVER (The Second Longest River in Myanmar) The Chindwin River nearly 600km course of this river flows from north to south. In the far northern reachest of the country, the clear tributary called Ta Naing Kha 20km north of Khamti town, it becomes the Chindwin River near Khamti. Chindwin River has so many river bends throughout the river and it converges to Ayeyarwaddy River near Ye Sa Gyo town. The confluence of two rivers Ayeyarwaddy and Chindwin is 50 km north of Bagan.   • It is the main tributary of the Irrawaddy River, northern Myanmar (Burma). The Chindwin is formed in the Patkai and Kumon ranges of the Indo-Myanmar border by a network of headstreams including the Tanai, Tawan, and Taron.
