Question

Help answer this question below.

Can you claim scholarship money if you are not currently attending school?

I might be joining the military soon, but I have some student loan debt I would certainly like to pay off. If I win scholarships through essays or whatever can I take that and pay off the student loans (if at all, can you do it when you arn't attending school that semester)

That would be stealing and it is illegal. My friend had a client that did that and she ended up serving jail time. There is an actual legal term for what you want to do, but I can't remember it off the top of my head, but in the end, it is something you can be prosecuted for.
